We be in London!

 5/16/11

WOW! Today was a day to remember! First the bus-ride to Cadbury Land! It was about a two-hour drive before we arrived at Cadbury, which from the outside was not that impressive, but once the tour began, it was so sweet! We first received some milk chocolate, which was in liquid form. It was so good, but it was hard to eat because I was thirsty. After that, we walked inside one of the old factories and we went along this tour, which incorporated the Haunted Mansion, Peter Pan, Pirates, and many more rides of Disneyland! I thought I was there again! My pictures can explain what was happening, but it was a tour of how Cadbury came to be and what they are doing today to further their advertising and marketing campaigns. Along the way received much more free chocolate. My pictures will have to explain most of it because I am not good with words because of the strange place Cadbury was. After Cadbury and buying more chocolate, we jumped back into bus and drove about three hours to London.  The bus ride was hilarious because we began writing love notes to people and having them wake up to this random love note. Besides that we were spreading rumors and making life on the bus more interesting for people.

We finally made it to London and it was beautiful! Our hotel was located not too far from the city center. Dropping our luggage off and checking out the hotel, we were finally done and ready to enter the city. Most of the group gathered together downstairs near the help desk because we kept asking what was so much fun. After some time, we finally headed to the closest tube station, which was called Earls Court. We took Earls Court to Piccadilly Circus. The tube is amazing! It feels like Harry Potter, but also San Francisco/New York. We walked around the area towards squares like the one the Queen road through to get to Buckingham Palace.  After Buckingham Palace our group of about 15 people broke up and we headed to separate restaurants because we knew we would not be serviced, plus some people were tired of stopping all the time. Chad, Kandace, Sarah, Bristal, Michelle, Ashlyn, and I went to this Chinese restaurant that was surprisingly good. I had duck for dinner, which I had not tried since the wedding I went to when I was about 12.  Once we were finished with dinner, we hopped back onto the tube and headed to Big Ben and Westminster Abbey.  It was dark by this time, but we did not care because we were in London. I was able to capture some really good pictures, but the lighting was tough, but I was able to play around with my camera settings.
