Seriously Kandace?

5/18/11

Today was finally a free day, which means adventures and more adventures. I woke up early in order to meet Ashlyn, Rogelio, Luke, and Michelle for breakfast. Once it struck nine am, we began walking towards Chelsea to tour the soccer stadium. We had such a fun time because we all love soccer. We mainly went there just purchase a jersey, but we were able to get the stadium passes half off. It was a bargain, so we went on it and enjoyed ourselves. I wish I were able to do the same thing at Old Trafford. The stadium was sweet, but not as nice as Old Trafford. Once we were done with the store we quickly run to the closest tube station so that we could meet up with Sarah, Bristal, Kandace, and Chad at the tower of London. Sadly, we were about an hour late. We bought our tickets and went into the beautiful structure, which happened to hold the Crown Jewels and so much history. We walked into the Wardrobe tower and looked at the army, but while we were in there we ran into Kandace and Chad who had separated from Bristal and Sarah who were now with Adam and Matt. The tower of London was amazing. There were many aspects of the architecture where my mind could not comprehend the several times the structure went through renovations and stages of life. The crown jewels were obviously the highlight, but it was amazing how much money has gone into these objects that could have been used for the poor, but what is someone going to do with a diamond besides bargain with it and stimulate the economy. I cannot understand why someone would need that many gold plates. Ha! England is all about tradition, which allows myself to see what the country used to behave like.
While at the tower, we walked along the inner wall, so that we could have a view of the tower bridge, which was gorgeous. I wish I could design something that beautiful in my lifetime. Kandace and I took some lovely pictures together, but I do not think she appreciated them as much as I did. She is a cute girl, but I do not think that she is at all interested in me, but I am a little interested in her at the moment. As soon as Chelsey spoke about Kandace for a couple hours, I knew I had to meet this girl. She is fun to talk to and laugh with; however, she is hard to break. She has a missionary, which comes home in a month, so I have a slight chance with her since she believes that we are fact couple. Who knows. . . it could come true! Ha!

After the tower, we went to the British Museum, which was kind of cool, but again I was tired, so I did not get much out of it. Plus, the museum is 8 miles of corridor. After the museum, we went to Big Ben. Sarah and I crossed the river so we could go see the eye. It was raining at this point, but we were able to get amazing pictures of parliament that the others are going to be jealous about. Ha!  From there we went an Indian restaurant, which I was allergic too. My throat felt like it was closing. The food was not that could because I do not like Indian food. Ha!  Because it was our last night, we decided to go visit Kings Cross, which is where platform 9 ¾ is.  We had fun taking pictures, especially Kandace and I. Lastly; the night would not be the same if we did not jump onto a double decker bus before the night was over.

That is the conclusion of London!
